Cathy has a Bachelor’s degree in Biopharmaceutical Chemistry, as well as a Master’s degree in Toxicology from the National University of Ireland, Galway. Her Master’s focused on projects covering topics of toxicological concern and interest, including Talc & asbestos contamination in cosmetics. She previously spent almost 4 years working as a Toxicologist for Oriflame Cosmetics, including a short period as a Regulatory Scientist. She was responsible was assessing the safety of ingredients and raw materials for inclusion into finished products, safety assessment of formulations, organisation of safety testing and post-market surveillance in the form of adverse reaction monitoring.
She joined Delphic in March 2021 as a Senior Toxicologist and is responsible for safety and regulatory aspects of cosmetic products, as well as supporting in the evaluation of food supplements. In April 2023 she became a Team Leader. She has completed both the Institute of Leadership Team Leader Pathway & Management Pathway and holds AIoL certification. She is also a member of the Royal Society of Biology and is ERT and UKRT registered. In October 2024 she was promoted to EMEA Toxicology Manager and is responsible for managing the EMEA Toxicology Team.
